Project SEARCH seeks new interns

Project SEARCH is currently recruiting for new interns to take part in an employability programme run by East Ayrshire Council, NHS Ayrshire and Arran and Ayrshire College.

The programme offers young people with learning disabilities, including those on the autistic spectrum, aged 17 to 29 years a one-year work placement.

Interns will spend their day at University Hospital Crosshouse where they will explore a variety of jobs and career paths. They will also receive intensive, personalised support to prepare them for and help them find work.

An open day will be held on Thursday 26 April from 1pm to 6pm at 36 Lister Street, University Hospital Crosshouse.

Applications for the next intake of interns must be submitted by Thursday 31 May.

Project SEARCH works in partnership with the Council, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, Ayrshire College and Skills Development Scotland.
