Provost welcomes Canadian pipers

Provost Jim Todd welcomed members of Edmonton Police Pipe Band from Canada to East Ayrshire last week.

The band enjoyed a visit to the Burns Monument Centre where they were given a demonstration of the genealogy research facilities while one of the members who has Scottish ancestry was presented with his family tree.

Their busy day also included a visit to Dumfries House and Greenmill Primary School in Cumnock as well as a rousing performance alongside the East Ayrshire schools pipe band at Take A Bow in Kilmarnock.
