Ayrshire is a place of beauty in a lovely summers day and although there are more than 10 places to visit in Ayrshire we’ve listed 10 places you MUST definitely visit if your a visitor or even stayed in Ayrshire for many years.

1. Maidens


Maidens is a lovely seaside village located on the A719 between Maybole and Turnberry with a lovely boating yard and an amazing view across the Clyde including Arran, At sunset, the views are simply stunning.


2. Rozelle Park


Rozelle park is located in the outskirts of Ayr town centre between the Loaning and Alloway, With stunning walks around lovely open spaces and plenty of room for picnics this is a must visit place if you're staying in Ayr.


3. Girvan


Girvan is a small seaside town located in South Ayrshire just on the A77 around 17 miles from Ayr, On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a stunning beach with views of Alisa Craig and a big park for kids to play all day long. A new swimming pool has also just been built so if it’s roasting why not take a splash and cool down.


4. Largs


You won’t be surprised Largs has made the list and there are many reasons why, Located in North Ayrshire on the A78 Largs has many lovely chip shops, Amazing shops and even palm trees along the shoreline...


There is also quick access to the island off Millport which takes us to number 6 on our list!


5. Millport


Millport is located in North Ayrshire just across the water from Largs, on and island called Cumbrae. The ferry takes around 15 minutes and on arrival you’ll be welcomed with stunning views of Arran and Largs but what’s most popular about Millport is the amazing cycle around the island, The cycle is around 10 miles and bikes can be hired on arrival and if you fancy a quick cool down plenty of ice cream shops are on hand!


6. Loch Doon


Loch Doon is located in East Ayrshire not far from Dalmellington, On arrival, you’ll be stunned by views Similar to those of Loch Lomond with stunning walks and even ruins of the former Loch Doon Castle why not take the kids or the dogs a walk around Loch Doon this summer!


7. Dundonald Castle


Dundonald castle is located in South Ayrshire between Troon and Kilmarnock with a stunning view across Dundonald from the top it’s certainly a breathtaking view, While on your visit you can pop into the gift shop or take a walk around the small village and the castle grounds.


8. Ayr & Ayr beach


Ayr has plenty to offer being Ayrshire’s biggest seaside town the beach expands for miles with plenty of shopping opportunities and great travel links having a day at Ayr beach couldn’t be easier, Ayr is linked by bus and Train directly from Glasgow with the X77 bus dropping you off just half a mile or a 10 minute walk to the beach. At the beach, you will be welcomed with stunning views of the Carrick hills, Arran and even Alisa Craig with plenty of food options a large park and plenty of grass space on the Low green for a family Picnic!


9. Farm park and Dunure


Located in South Ayrshire just passed Craig Tara holiday park is the amazing Farm park, A place for all ages The farm park offers you and your kids an amazing opportunity to see wildlife and animals up close, Along with the amazing animals is a huge park and indoor area and just a few more miles up the road lies the stunning Dunure castle both linked by the 361 bus from Ayr Town Centre.


10. Culzean Castle


Located in South Ayrshire just 4 miles outside Maybole on the A719 lies the stunning grounds and castle of Culzean, On arrival, you’ll be greeted with amazing and simply breathtaking views across the Firth of Clyde with a stunning walk around Culzean’s water pond and castle grounds you’ll simply wish you visited sooner.
