Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking in Kilwinning. Between 2.30pm and 6.30pm on Sunday, 8 February, a property was broken into on Dalry Road. A five-figure sum of cash was taken as well as jewellery worth an estimated six-figure sum. Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in South Ayrshire. Around 5.30am on Sunday, 8 February, 2026, a man was riding a bicycle when he was approached by four men and seriously assaulted on Drumley Drive in Mossblown. The 32-year-old man attended at hospital for treatment for serious injuries. The four men were all white, wore dark clothing and spoke with a local accent. Detective Constable Rebecca Scott said: “This was a terrifying incident for
