117 gritters take to Scotland’s roads as freezing rain arrives

117 gritters will take to Scotlands main roads including the A77, A76, A78 and A75 this evening and tonight and freezing rain arrives across Scotland.

Currently a band of rain is passing over the Scotland from the west and slowely pushing Eastwards throughout tonight.

By morning and rain thats fallen will have frozen to already cold ground or even snow on higher ground.

A yellow warning for ice has been issued by the Met Office.
