4G boost for Largs planned

Conservative Digital Economy Spokesman and West Scotland MSP Jamie Greene today welcomed the planned 4G boost for Largs.

This follows news that the Largs Community Council have backed a new EE mobile phone mast that will provide the town with 4G coverage. The mast will be erected in Brisbane Glen.

Mr Greene commented: “The rollout of 4G across Largs will be hugely beneficial to local people and businesses. It’s absolutely vital that rural areas such as Largs are able to access modern mobile and broadband speeds for that they can reap the full economic benefits.”

“4G coverage will also greatly help our emergency services across West Scotland and Largs.”

“This initiative shows the positive impact that the private sector can have working with local councils. 4G will be fantastic for Largs as will 5G when we eventually role that out in the next 5-10 years.
