Ayr High Street has had its busiest Saturday December shopping day in over 10 years.
Shoppers hit high streets across Ayrshire after the 3 week level 4 lockdown lockdown restrictions where removed on Friday.
For many Christmas shopping has been delayed for 3 weeks which has resulted in Ayr high street having its busiest December Christmas shopping weekend since 2009.
Ayrshire is now under level 3 restrictions which allows all non essential retail to open.
