Ayr RFC Receives £5,000 Boost from The Mickel Fund for Youth and Community Rugby

Ayr Rugby Football Club has been awarded a £5,000 donation from The Mickel Fund, providing a welcome boost to its ongoing youth and community rugby initiatives.

The Scottish charitable trust, which supports a wide range of community organisations and causes across the country, has recognised the club’s continued commitment to developing grassroots sport and providing opportunities for young people in Ayrshire.
The donation will go towards enhancing training facilities and equipment at the club’s Millbrae grounds in Alloway, ensuring players of all ages and abilities can benefit from improved resources and coaching support.
Brian Williamson, Chairman of Ayr Rugby Club, said:
“We are extremely grateful to The Mickel Fund for their generous support. This funding will make a real difference to our efforts to grow the game locally and ensure rugby remains accessible to everyone in our community.”
Established in 1970, The Mickel Fund contributes around £100,000 annually to charities and local projects across Scotland, continuing its mission to make a meaningful impact in communities throughout the country.
