The annual TomFest25 charity concert has delivered another outstanding result for the Ayrshire Kids Xmas Toy Appeal, raising a total of £5,024.58 and drawing a capacity crowd to Mauchline for a night filled with music and community spirit.

Supported once again by local employer Land Energy, the sold-out event welcomed more than 250 attendees. The programme featured six live acts, a burlesque chair dance group, and a standout performance by the 70-strong Ayrshire Rock Choir, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere throughout the evening.
The event was organised and fronted by Tom Murray, Warehouse Manager and Procurement Lead at Land Energy, whose commitment has helped TomFest develop into one of Ayrshire’s most anticipated charity concerts.

All funds raised have been donated to the Ayrshire Kids Xmas Toy Appeal. The charity, founded in 2011 by Christine Oliver, now supports almost 1,000 families each year. The initiative began when Christine met a mother who feared she would be unable to provide Christmas presents for her children. That encounter inspired her to build an organisation that now offers vital support to families facing financial hardship.
Referrals are received from a wide range of frontline services including social workers, Women’s Aid, schools, nurseries, health visitors, and other community groups. Donations help provide toys, clothing, and essential items to ensure children and teenagers across Ayrshire wake up to something special on Christmas morning.
TomFest has grown steadily over the years, attracting music fans from across the region. The event has also seen its share of memorable moments, including a marriage proposal during the 2022 concert.
David Bone, Marketing Representative at Land Energy, said:
“We are exceptionally proud to support TomFest25 and the Ayrshire Kids Xmas Toy Appeal once more. We appreciate it is a really difficult time for families at the moment, with financial pressures, global instability and rising inflation, but this donation will ensure that the magic of Christmas doesn’t bypass those who can’t afford it.”
