IMPORTANT NOTICE - RADIO TRANSMISSIONS

The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team is reminding the public that it is illegal to publish information heard on emergency broadcast channels.

This also includes posting information heard via radio transmissions online including Internet groups and across social media platforms.

It's also in bad taste. What you are doing is listening to someone in distress who needs help.

How would you feel if you find out your loved ones were in distress online?

Please think before you act.

Search and Rescue - it's what we do.

In a coastal, beach or cliff emergency dial 999 and as for the Coastguard.
