Walter and Irene Ness celebrated their Diamond Wedding recently.
The couple who live in Ayr, first met in Kirkholm when Walter was visiting with relatives. They were married in Kirkholm church.
They have three children and one granddaughter.
South Ayrshire Provost, Helen Moonie visited the couple to present them with flowers to mark the special occasion.
