East Ayrshire Council is looking for feedback on Kilmarnock Town

Kilmarnock Town Centre is a place which has seen many changes in recent years, with massive investment in walkways, street lighting and furniture and heritage projects regenerating underused and ageing historic buildings.

East Ayrshire Council has teams working hard to create a vibrant, safe and economically viable centre for businesses to thrive and people to prosper.

“People have always been at the forefront of our planning, with all the changes we’ve made, and have still to make, we need to consult with, listen, and take heed of the opinions of those who use the town centre to live, work and shop.” Says Councillor Jim Buchanan, Cabinet Member for Economy, East Ayrshire Council.

“So that’s why we’re now running a Town Centre Health Check, part of which takes the form of an survey, which we’ll be repeating every two years so we can monitor and hone our performance.

“We’re asking everyone who uses the town centre to take a few minutes to fill it in, either on paper, or online, so that we can gauge how well Kilmarnock is doing in terms of its identity, accessibility, attractiveness and sense of comfort and wellbeing.”

The survey is available online http://eac.eu/kilmarnocksurvey , and also on paper at various venues throughout the town, including Business Gateway, The Howard Centre, The Dick Institute, The Galleon and the Johnnie Walker Bond. It closes on Friday 27 May.

Paper copies of the survey are available at: Business Gateway, 89 King Street, Kilmarnock

The Howard Centre, 5 Portland Road, Kilmarnock. The Galleon Centre, 99 Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock. The Dick Institute, Elmbank Avenue, Kilmarnock. The Johnnie Walker Bond, 15 Strand Street, Kilmarnock and other locations around the town centre.
