We’re currently experiencing heavy and persistent rain across East Ayrshire and expect this to continue throughout the day.
Our area flood teams have been mobilised and we are responding to requests for sandbags predominantly in the south of East Ayrshire at the moment in Cumnock, Auchinleck and Mauchline. We are also helping the Police with flooding issues at Cumnock Bus station. We are closely monitoring the Shortlees area and the Irvine valley and we have been monitoring gullies in hotspot areas and keeping them clear.
