The end looks in sight for the ScotRail class 156 diesel trains, the trains which are a familiar sight across Ayrshire are set to become life expired by 2025 and with the new greener revolution transport Scotland are looking for replacements.
The trains which will be almost be 40 years old by 2025 have carried over 5 different liveries across Scotland, just 2 years ago a massive refurbishment also took place for ScotRail class 156 trains to bring them back into the times however as diesel is being slowly out phased across the Railway the class 156s will also suffer the same fate.
