First Minister Nicola Sturgeon arrives in Ayr town for a campaign visit


FIRST Minister Nicola Sturgeon made an appearance in Ayr Town Centre today for a campaign visit.

Crowds of SNP supporters gathered as First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, arrived in the Town Centre today.


In an exclusive LIVE interview with Ayrshire Daily News the First Minister said:

"The campaign is going really well, and it's great to be here in Ayr today, I'm an Ayrshire girl and Ayr United supporter."

Nicola certainly wasn't camera shy as supporters crowded together for 'Selfies'.

Pupils from Ayr and Kyle Academy came along to support the campaign visit.

Not only did Nicola visit the SNP crowd she also made appearances at a number of town centre shops including Jools, Branded Outlet Store, Wee Windaes pub and The Book & Bun.

Linda Watt from the famous ladies accessories store in Newmarket Street said: "I'm so excited to have had Nicola in the store today it was such a great experience and it was very nice of her to visit Jools today"

Nicola's journey in Ayr ended at the Book & Bun, also in Newmarket Street, the manager of the shop said: "She was asking what we worked as and if we enjoyed it, she was really nice.

"We were quite anxious about it all day - busy cleaning and getting the cakes looking nice for her coming."
