Smart journey planning tools and free bus travel to help families prepare for the school run.

With schools across Scotland scheduled to return this week, Stagecoach is helping families get ready for the new term with a dedicated Back to School webpage packed with useful travel tips.
A key focus is making sure all young people aged under 22 have their free bus travel pass ready to use; helping them get to school without cost being a barrier.
For those not eligible for free travel, Stagecoach offers a range of flexible and affordable ticket options – including singles, returns, day, weekly, four-week and flexi tickets – all available to buy before you board, on the Stagecoach app.
The Stagecoach app is the perfect travel companion for the new school year because it lets customers:
Plan journeys quickly and easily
Track buses in real time so you know exactly when to leave home
Buy tickets in advance, saving time on the day
As well as the new webpage, Stagecoach will be sharing helpful reminders via email and social media to support parents, carers and young people.
Jacqueline Rowan, Head of Marketing for Scotland, said:
“Getting ready for a new school term can be a hectic time, so we’re making it as simple as possible for families to plan their journeys.
“Whether it’s applying for a free under 22s’ bus pass (Young Scot National Entitlement Card) or downloading our app to plan ahead, we’ve got you. We want to make sure everyone starts the term ready to travel with confidence.”
