Irvine portal fitness suite to open on Monday

KA leisure is set to open this Monday 30th January after NA announced delays to the opening of the pool and other facilities.

KA leisure issued the following info 

We are currently organising refresher sessions for members to familiarise themselves with our new gym kit at The Portal. Refresher sessions will last thirty minutes and are available 10am – 4pm from Friday 27th January for MEMBERS only.

Between Friday 27th & Sunday 29th January all gym access will be limited to the thirty minute refresher sessions.

Please note the Magnum gym will remain open for use until 5pm on Sunday 29th January.

The current studio timetable at the Magnum will relocate to the Portal from Monday 30th January.

Please note these classes are only open to MEMBERS.

Sports and Swimming

We are making good progress and the finishing touches are being put in place. We will be inviting partner clubs, groups and schools to try out the new facilities from 27 January before an opening to the public in February.

Our ‘Learn to Swim’ lesson programme continues at the Magnum until further notice.

Facilities include:

25m x 6 lane swimming pool and a teaching/warm up pool with changing facilities and spectator seating

Six court multi-use sports hall for all indoor sports

Community facilities

Fitness suite and multi-use studios

Café

The historic Townhouse

Cultural and tourist information including local places of interest and heritage trails

Information on genealogy, local and family history

A venue for wedding ceremonies, civic functions, artists in residence, exhibitions and performances.
