Ayrshire fundraisers, dust off those walking shoes Kiltwalk 2026 is officially open for registration!

Scotland’s biggest charity walking event is back, inviting people across the country to lace up and take part in a year of unforgettable community spirit, fundraising, and fun, all while supporting local causes that make a real difference.

Participants can once again choose from a range of walking distances, from the shorter “Wee Wander” to the full “Mighty Stride,” with routes designed to take in some of Scotland’s most iconic cities and stunning landscapes. Events are confirmed for Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh, with each walk offering a festival-like atmosphere, full of energy, music, and smiles every step of the way.

Since it began, The Kiltwalk has become one of Scotland’s most loved fundraising events, giving walkers the opportunity to raise money for any charity of their choice. Every penny raised goes directly to good causes across Scotland, from national health charities to small local community groups and grassroots projects.

In 2025, Kiltwalkers raised millions of pounds to support hundreds of charities, including vital organisations such as Ayrshire Cancer Support, which alone received over £38,000 thanks to the incredible efforts of local walkers.

Organisers say they’re determined to make 2026 an even bigger celebration of generosity, community spirit, and Scottish pride.

Paul Cooney, Kiltwalk CEO, said:

“Every year we’re humbled by the sheer heart and determination of Kiltwalkers across Scotland. 2026 is going to be our biggest year yet, and we can’t wait to see people of all ages, families, and teams come together to walk, raise money, and make a difference for the causes closest to their hearts.”

Registration is now open at www.thekiltwalk.co.uk, where walkers can sign up for their preferred city and distance. Early registration is encouraged, as spaces fill up fast.
