POLICE INCIDENT – MAIN STREET, AYR
Around 6.55pm on Saturday 27 January 2018, police received a number of reports of a man kicking a Golden Retriever dog and attempting to throw it into the path of oncoming vehicles in Main Street, Ayr.
Officers attended and the dog, who had been knocked unconscious, was taken to a local vet where it remains in a stable condition.
A 42 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged cruelty to an animal and an alleged breach of the peace.
He is due before Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday 29 January 2018 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
