A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged after he was allegedly found in possession of a firearm in Smith Street Ayr around 11.30pm last night, Monday, 4 March 2019.
He is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court tomorrow, Wednesday, 6 March 2019 and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Enquires are also ongoing following the reports a number of robberies across South Ayrshire. Officers are following definite lines of enquiry.
