Nationality Checking Service launches in East Ayrshire

East Ayrshire Council is set to become one of only six local authorities in Scotland to offer the Nationality Checking Service.
The new service, run in partnership with the Home Office by East Ayrshire Council Registrars, will start on Tuesday 23 January and will be available by appointment from the Burns Monument Centre, Kilmarnock and Rothesay House, Cumnock.

People applying for British Citizenship and Joint Passports can have their application checked by specially trained employees.
This will ensure that application forms are completed correctly and that the correct documentary evidence is submitted.
Our employees are registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner to provide certified photocopies of supporting documents so applicants will no longer have to post important documents with their applications.
Once the application form is completed, it will be sent with the certified photocopies by special delivery to the Home Office.
