The UK’s leading health food retailer, Holland & Barrett opened its new Ayr store in Ayr Central Shopping Centre on Monday 15th May 2017.

The new 205 sq m (2200 sq ft) store is brimming with Holland and Barrett’s wealth of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements and is focused to help shoppers keep healthy on the go with innovative new products across health, beauty and sports.
The store’s exciting features include a pick ‘n’ mix stall of fruit, nuts and seeds aimed at health conscious shoppers. The new store is also home to an interactive home fragrance bay where customers can create their own scent for the home.

Shoppers to the new Holland & Barrett store will be able to ask the trained and knowledgeable staff, who are qualified to advise, about the latest health trends or foods for dietary requirements including vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs. Commenting on the new store, Ayr Central’s Centre Manager, George Reader said: “We are really excited to unveil the new Holland and Barrett store in Ayr Central and we are sure that the centre’s customers will be interested to see how it differs from the old store on the High Street. We know that the Holland and Barrett team look forward to welcoming the people of Ayrshire in store, to share the latest products and concepts in the health food, beauty and sports nutrition categories”. He adds: “Bringing Holland & Barrett to Ayr Central takes the centre to 99% let and reinforces its reputation as Ayr’s prime retail location. Ayr Central enjoys very loyal customers, and a high volume of tourists and students, and has become a key requirement for brands seeking opportunities in the south west of Scotland” M&G Real Estate bought Ayr Central in May 2015 and its active asset management strategy has focused on attracting additional quality retailers to broaden the tenant mix and further enhance the centre’s established range. The existing tenant line-up includes Debenhams, Primark, New Look, Topshop, Topman, Next, H&M, River Island, JD Sports, Clarks, HMV and Costa. The ‘big box’ format covered centre also includes a 450-space car park.
