Miller Road is about to get a whole lot smokier as Homestead Smokehouse prepares to open its doors, bringing a brand-new dining experience to Ayr.

The restaurant has been teasing locals on social media with promises of “smash burgers, real BBQ and killer cocktails” in a bold new venue with a distinctive Western vibe.

From rustic wall finishes to a dramatic bull skull centrepiece, the transformation has caught plenty of attention. Even the exterior has had a facelift, changing from cream to a sleek grey to match the smokehouse style.

It hasn’t all been down to the builders either. Ayr Fire Station’s White Watch team - Marty, Liam and Jaimie volunteered their time to pressure wash the front beer garden, weed the area and even fix loose slabs, helping make the outside space ready for guests.

The anticipation has been huge. Opening night on Wednesday 17th September is already fully booked, and a second service on Friday 19th September has also sold out. Bookings for the following days are filling quickly, with the team thanking locals for the incredible support.

Homestead Smokehouse will also be offering gift vouchers for those who want to share the experience, from brisket and burgers to cocktails and the full BBQ spread.

With tables selling out fast, the new venue looks set to become one of Ayr’s most talked-about dining spots.
