A DEAL is nearly sealed to transform Ayr's ghost shopping centre into a high end cinema complex which involves Ayr Odeon Cinema that's situated at Burns Statue Square at the top of the town.

The Odeon will 'likely' hit Ayr High Street, moving into the new £10 million pound Kyle Centre cinema project.

Giant movie firm 'Odeon' said it will continue to operate in Ayr for many more years to come.

Bosses of the new Kyle Centre project say they hope a deal will be completed before Christmas.

This will surely mean a transformation for cinema lovers in Ayr with the old Odeon needing a fresh new look to compete with other giant multi-complexes.

Earlier in the year, the Ayrshire Daily News released 3D Graphic images of the cinema and food complexes when completed.

An estimated £10 million will be invested into the new plans for the Kyle Centre, which is believed will be called 'The Centre' - with food giants on the ground floor such as, TGI Fridays, Pizza Express and Nandos of which could be in the pipeline to move in.

It is hoped if all plans go as scheduled, the first blockbuster will be shown in 2017.
