Officers Appeal to Locate 39 Year Old Who Never Arrived for Work This Morning

Update 20:50, Thu 31 Oct: Ayrshire Police have confirmed Ian has been trace safe and well.

Officers are appealing for assistance from the public in trying to locate a 39-year-old man missing from Ayrshire this morning.



Ian Fowler left his home in Kilmarnock around 6am, this morning. He got into his van and was expected to drive to work. When he didn’t arrive, his colleagues reported their concerns to police.


Ian is white, around 5 ft. 8 inches in height, with blue jeans and a hi-vis jacket.


His van has been discovered in the car park in Killiecrankie Visitor Centre and officers are carrying out enquiries in that area in an effort to locate Ian. Members of the public will see a significant police presence in that area as officers try to find Ian. The police helicopter is also being used in the search.


He has been dealing with some personal issues and concern is growing for his welfare.
