The world-famous RAF Red Arrows received a warm Ayrshire welcome at the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight, with thousands flocking to meet the iconic display team during one of their busiest pilot meet-and-greet sessions of the season.

Fans of all ages gathered at the Ayr seafront, with many young people taking the opportunity to meet the Red Arrows team, learn more about aviation, and hear about future career opportunities within the Royal Air Force.


The Red Arrows praised the incredible turnout, describing the session as one of the most popular of the year, highlighting the enthusiasm of the Ayrshire crowd.


“What a crowd! Brilliant to meet so many people at The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight earlier today,” the team posted on social media. “Lots of young people, in particular, were interested in flying and future careers in the Royal Air Force.”


The visit was a highlight of the festival, which drew in huge numbers to Ayr’s stunning seafront across the weekend, celebrating aviation excellence and providing memorable experiences for families and visitors.


The Red Arrows remain one of the UK’s most loved display teams, and their appearance in Ayr once again showcased the event as one of Scotland’s premier airshows.
