Police in Ayrshire are appealing for assistance from the public after two men died in a road crash in Ayrshire on Saturday, 19 October, 2019.

Around 4.05 pm yesterday afternoon, a white Volkswagen Golf and a white Volkswagen Scirocco collided westbound on the B7036/Barony Road, near the Barony A Frame, in Auchinleck. The driver of the VW Golf, Kevin Hall (54) from Ochiltree, Ayrshire, and his passenger, Douglas Murray (37) from Auchinleck, died at the scene. Their relatives are aware. Enquiries are ongoing with regard to the identity of the driver of the VW Scirocco who left the scene prior to police arrival. The road was closed for approximately seven hours to allow investigations at the scene. Sergeant Kevin Blackley of Ayrshire's Road Policing Unit said: "Two men have lost their lives as a result of this crash and enquiries are ongoing. "We are urging anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision, or who witnessed the crash, to contact us as soon as possible. “We are especially interested in speaking to motorists who may have dashcam footage of either vehicles in the Auchinleck area or footage following the crash that could help us with our investigation.” Anyone with any information can contact Ayrshire Road Policing, Irvine, on 101, quoting incident number 2713 of 19 October 2019, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
