Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in South Ayrshire.

Around 5.30am on Sunday, 8 February, 2026, a man was riding a bicycle when he was approached by four men and seriously assaulted on Drumley Drive in Mossblown.

The 32-year-old man attended at hospital for treatment for serious injuries.

The four men were all white, wore dark clothing and spoke with a local accent.

Detective Constable Rebecca Scott said: “This was a terrifying incident for the man who was left with serious injuries, and we are keen to trace the men responsible as soon as possible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

“I’d also ask that those who live locally with private CCTV or dash-cam footage review this and see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0675 of 8 February, 2026. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
