Police Scotland can confirm that two male youths, both aged 16, have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Boydfield Gardens, Prestwick, on Saturday, 20 June, 2020.

They are due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today, Monday, 22 June.

Chief Inspector Brian Anderson, Area Commander at South Ayrshire said:

"We will continue to conduct high visibility patrols in the Prestwick area to provide reassurance to the community and I would remind parents, guardians and carers to talk to young people about the concerns of anti-social behaviour and the consequences of getting involved in such activity."
