Seven incidents over FOUR days for the Ardrossan coastguard team

The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team has had a busy few days attending seven separate incidents across Ayrshire with assistance provided to multiple people.

Here's a brief summary of the past four days:


Thursday 27th June: Team tasked to reports of a person in the water in Ardrossan; five persons rescued from Horse Island working alongside RNLI Troon Lifeboat having suffered boat difficulties.


Friday 28th June: Team tasked on incident prevention to provide safety advice to young persons tombstoning at Ardrossan Harbour; attended a multi-agency callout in Irvine as part of Ayrshire Safer Shores with casualty care provided to multiple people; reports of a flare sighting in Seamill.


Saturday 29th: Team tasked to a concern for person call in Prestwick in relation to an open water swimmer.


Sunday 30th June: Team tasked to two persons in the water north of Largs having came off their jet ski. Casualty care provided working alongside RNLI Largs Lifeboat.
