South Scotland MSP Sharon Dowey Congratulates Ayr India Following Best Indian Restaurant Award

South Scotland MSP Sharon Dowey has congratulated Ayr India Seafront restaurant following their win as Best Indian Restaurant in the West of Scotland at the prestigious 2024 Spice Awards.

Dowey lodged a congratulatory motion in the Scottish Parliament recognising Ayr India’s achievement.

The Spice Awards, which were held at the DoubleTree Hilton in Glasgow in September 2024, celebrate the best in Indian dining across the country, bringing together the finest establishments from all over Scotland.

Sharon Dowey met with family owners, Narinder, Balbir, Bhavenpreet and Sharanjit Sangha at their popular local restaurant on Ayr sea front.

Scottish Conservative and Unionist MSP Sharon Dowey said:

“It was a real pleasure to visit Ayr India and meet with Narinder, Balbir, Bhavenpreet and Sharanjit to present them with a Parliamentary motion, congratulating the restaurant on their win. This award showcases the restaurant’s high-quality cuisine and customer service and is very well deserved.
