South Scotland MSP Sharon Dowey has visited the newly opened and transformed Ayrshire Hospice, at their new site on Racecourse Road, Ayr.

The Ayrshire Hospice was established to enhance the quality of remaining life for those suffering from any life-limiting illness including cancer, neurological conditions, end stage heart failure and lung disease, as well as to support families and carers facing the loss of a loved one.
Their £18 million capital build project officially opened on 18th August, with several other evening tours being hosted to accommodate a range of visitors.
MSP Sharon Dowey was given a tour of the new facility, including their Gargowan Café, gift shop, contemplation room, gym room and other state of the art services.
Scottish Conservative and Unionist MSP Sharon Dowey said: “I am thrilled to see this project come to a successful completion. The team at the Hospice provide an invaluable service to the people of Ayrshire, caring for patients, family and friends with compassion and dignity.”
