Stagecoach is proud to support two upcoming events in Ayr as part of South Ayrshire Council’s Thriving Communities programme: a collaborative initiative helping residents to lead healthier, more connected and confident lives.

The events will see Stagecoach engage with families and young people across the region, providing travel advice, promoting access to free and discounted bus travel and offering on-the-spot support with travel passes.

The first event is a family-focused Educational Festival, which takes place in Ayr on Wednesday 13 August (midday to 3pm), offering an afternoon of learning, entertainment and support.

The Bounce Festival 2025, which is a high-energy evening for secondary school pupils takes place at Ayr Academy on Friday 15 August (7-10pm), designed to finish the summer break with music, and activities.

Stagecoach is supporting both events by offering travel advice and one-to-one guidance from its experienced team, who will be on hand with the company’s distinctive open-top bus.

At the Educational Festival, families can also enjoy creative workshops, interactive stalls, children’s entertainment and free refreshments in a relaxed and inclusive setting.

Bounce Festival 2025 promises a packed evening of live performances from artists including Merki, DJ Zitkus, Gary McF, DJ Cammy and MC Tiny, alongside inflatables, workshops, games and a 57ft drop tower.

Fraser Smith, Commercial Director for Stagecoach West Scotland, said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting Thriving Communities and these two fantastic events that bring families and young people together in such a positive way.

“Bus travel opens up access to education, employment, and social opportunities – and we’re here to ensure that every young person and family knows how to take full advantage of what’s available.

“Especially through the Scottish Government’s under-22 concession scheme, which offers free bus travel when young people present their concession card on board the bus.

“Our team is really looking forward to meeting festival-goers, helping with travel queries and, of course, bringing along some fun with our open-top bus and giveaways.”

The Thriving Communities team said:

"We are delighted to welcome Stagecoach as a valued partner in our growing programme of Thriving Communities summer events.

“Their support represents a shared commitment to investing in local communities and significantly enhances our ability to deliver high-quality, inclusive learning experiences that bring families and young people together.

“These events are about more than just entertainment, they’re about creating lasting memories and new experiences."
