Stagecoach are opening the doors to there Kilmarnock Depot this April for a fabulous charity open day!
You can go along on Sunday 8th April 2018 from 10am until 4pm to see the modern and vintage fleet on display and get a sneak peak behind the scenes of the busy working depot.
The open day is a free event for all the family however we do hope that with some donations from people visiting the event on the day we will raise money for our chosen charity The National Autistic Society.
Her are just some of the attractions at The event:
Display of buses and coaches from our modern fleet.
Ride on Sir Brian Souter’s vintage horse drawn omnibus.
Vehicle recovery demonstration by Barry Devlin Services Ltd.
Display of vehicles from the Stagecoach Heritage Fleet.
An opportunity to see how a modern bus works from the vantage point of one of our inspection pits.
Large display of historic vehicles from the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust and other vehicle owners.
Range of short tours from MacKinlay Place depot using vehicle types synonymous with bus operation in Ayrshire.
Frequent shuttle service between Kilmarnock bus station and the MacKinlay Place depot using both historic and modern vehicles.
A chance to see behind the scenes at our Training School.
A range of stalls.
Have your name up in lights on the front of a bus.
Ride through our bus wash.
Play video games on our Youth Express bus.
Please note there is no on site parking at the open day.
A shuttle bus is running from Kilmarnock Bus Station and we ask that visitors park in the town centre car parks near the bus station and use the shuttle service to get to the MacKinlay Place Depot.
Stagecoach are looking for stall holders to attend on the day .
