Stagecoach West Scotland has confirmed that the 43 service is once again running through Mossblown after it was forced to miss out the village on Monday night due to an incident of anti-social behaviour.

The operator issued an update on X this morning, stating: “The 43 service from Ayr is now servicing Mossblown again after last nights anti-social incident.”
The service had been temporarily diverted the previous evening, with Stagecoach telling passengers: “We’ve had to temporarily divert the 43/343 service which won’t be serving Mossblown until further notice due to anti-social behaviour. We’re so sorry if this impacts your journey! We’ll update our information as soon as we can.”
The diversion meant buses were running on to other parts of the route while avoiding Mossblown, leaving some residents without access to the evening service.
No details of the incident have been released, but bus services have now resumed as normal.
Anti-social behaviour affecting bus routes has been a recurring issue in some Ayrshire communities.
Stagecoach thanked customers for their patience while the situation was resolved.
This latest incident highlights the impact such behaviour can have on public transport and local communities that rely on these vital services.
