Carole Reid from Stagecoach West Scotland received a prestigious national award at the company’s 2025 Excellence Awards on February 13 in London.

In over 48 years to Stagecoach, Carole has demonstrated adaptability and commitment in various roles. She is respected for her willingness to embrace challenges, volunteer for events and display kindness towards her coworkers. Carole's involvement in the local community and her interests in music and sports showcase her versatility and depth of character. Colleagues commend Carole as one of the finest individuals they have worked with.

Now in their second year, the Stagecoach Excellence Awards recognise the dedication, hard work and innovation of employees across multiple regions. Award categories include Lifetime Achievement, Employee of the Year, Inspirational Leadership and many more. Winners are selected based on their performance, impact and contributions to the company’s mission of achieving excellence in the transport sector.

Fiona Doherty, Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland, commented:

“We are delighted to celebrate Carole’s win at the Stagecoach Excellence Awards. Carole has been an integral part of the business for over 48 years and is valued for her readiness to adjust and give her best for our customers and communities. Carole's exemplary work ethic, professionalism and character make her a deserving recipient of the award.

The timing of the award is fitting, as Carole has chosen to retire early from her position in our commercial department. Her decision marks a memorable and impactful conclusion to her career, and she will be sorely missed by many of her colleagues.”

Claire Miles, CEO of Stagecoach, added:

“Our Excellence Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work, determination and incredible passion of individuals across our business. With well over 600 nominations this year, it was a very difficult task to whittle it down to a shortlist and eventual winner, with strong entries in all categories. What is clear is that our colleagues continue to do exceptional work in delivering excellent customer service and making a positive impact across the country. It is only right that we celebrate standout achievements in our business and congratulations to all winners."
