Stagecoach South Scotland has teamed up with Ayr United and The Night Before Christmas Campaign to help bring festive joy to children and families across Ayrshire this festive period.

Now in its fourth year of support for the charity, Stagecoach is calling on fans and members of the local area to donate gifts at Somerset Park ahead of Ayr United’s home fixture against Arbroath on Saturday 15 November.

The goal will be to fill an entire bus with presents that will be distributed to local children who might otherwise go without this Christmas.

The initiative is part of a long-standing partnership between Stagecoach and The Night Before Christmas Campaign (NB4CC), a charity dedicated to ensuring every child wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning. Last year’s appeal saw hundreds of toys collected and delivered to families across the region.

Stagecoach has a strong track record of supporting local causes and community activities, including previous collaborations with Ayr United such as the club’s dementia-friendly walking football sessions.

Fraser Smith, Commercial Director for Stagecoach South Scotland, said:

“We’re delighted to join forces with Ayr United to achieve such a worthwhile goal; filling a bus full of Christmas presents for local children.

“Like United, we’re right at the heartbeat of life in Ayr and proud to serve the local community in the town and the whole of Ayrshire.

“The Night Before Christmas campaign is something we’re proud to do every year – seeing the smiles on the children’s faces is phenomenal.

“So we would encourage as many supporters and local people to pop along to Somerset Park ahead of the Arbroath game to help us fill a bus full of presents.”

Martin Tocker, General Manager at Ayr United, added:

“We are delighted to partner with Stagecoach and The Night Before Christmas Campaign. We believe that the football club can, and should be, at the heart of the community in South Ayrshire which is why a campaign like this is incredibly important to be part of. I’m sure our supporters will show their generosity as always.”
