Summer open day set to shine on South Ayrshire's Year of Young People

A taster session to bring the huge range of summer events taking place across South Ayrshire is being held at the Citadel in Ayr. The event organised by the South Ayrshire Council led Youth Strategy multi-agency group takes place on Saturday, 2 June between 11am and 2pm.

Taking place as part of the Year of Young People the day is being part funded by £2,000 from Youthlink Cashback which redirects the proceeds of crime to benefit Scotland's young people. A range of stalls and taster indoor and outdoor activities will be on offer on the day including free swimming between 11-2pm, with slot times available for the inflatables and floats. Bunny Luv will be offering animal petting, taster sessions in athletics, gymnastic displays, lego building, silent disco, story corner, free swimming with inflatables, the chance to try out electric bikes, footgolf, giant games, YOYP activities and more. Partners hosting stalls at the event include Active Schools; South Ayrshire Council's sports and leisure, and libraries, Lochside Missions, South Ayrshire Young Scot, and the South Ayrshire Youth Forum.
