Todays fantastic news is that we are bringing the beautiful Sea Fury to #ScotAir18 !!
This historic Royal Navy Historic Flight aircraft was scheduled to fly at the 2014 Scottish Airshow at #Ayr and was badly damaged when it's undercarriage failed to lower on landing after another airshow. It looked like the Sea Fury might have to be scrapped but a lot of hard work paid off late last summer when the Sea Fury took to the air and attended a few airshows.
It is testament to the popularity of The Scottish International Airshow that the Royal Navy have decided to send this classic fighter to display at #ScotAir18 on September 1st and 2nd
As the Sea Fury is so rare it is quite difficult to get good up to date photographs of the aircraft. Thanks to FMTV for this great video https://youtu.be/T-xuUhQL12o and others for the few pictures we have managed to find.
All the more reason for getting the best seats on the promenade when the Sea Fury and all our other displays take place right off Ayr beach.
