An investigation into a number of thefts in the Martin Avenue and surrounding areas of Irvine, has resulted in the arrest of two men.
The men, aged 26 and 36, were arrested and charged in connection with a number of thefts. Both men have been released on an undertaking and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Locality Policing Inspector Andy Dolan, from Irvine, said: "I’d like to offer my thanks to members of the local community for their help and co-operation with this matter. I would also like to remind people to ensure their vehicles and homes are securely locked up and valuables are kept out of sight where possible. Anyone with any concerns regarding crime in their community can contact us in the knowledge that we will respond quickly and appropriately."
