WEATHER: A Flood Alert has been issued for Ayrshire and Arran

A period of heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon and evening brings a risk of flooding to low-lying land and roads from surface water and small rivers and watercourses.

The heaviest rain is most likely near hills and mountains, although other areas could also be affected. There could be difficult driving conditions and local disruption to travel.


Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
