Our weather over Ayrshire has been relatively quite over the past few weeks but as the Jet Stream powers up that could all change this weekend.
Weather models have been hinting at a very deep area of low pressure could pass just to the North of Scotland between Saturday and Sunday with the help of a very powerful Jet Stream.
The Jet Stream currently at 150mph is gathering speed due to a mass of Cold air currently over the USA, in return this makes the Jet Stream push south and gives it more energy making our weather a bit more lively than usual.
Wind speeds could hit 114km/h with heavy rain also possible, ADN will keep you updated over the next few days so please stay tuned to our forecasts.
