Valid 21:00 Sun - 18:00 Mon
A band of sleet and snow will cross Ayrshire through the early night, bringing with it some falls of snow in parts especially further inland across the region.
This band of showery precipitation will be followed in turn by heavy showers, many of which will fall as snow, leading to accumulations of up to 5-7 cm in many inland parts, with a covering of snow still possible closer to the coast also.
Across the hills snowfall totals of 10 cm are possible by tomorrow morning. Ice may also be an issue overnight, especially so further inland and through any sheltered valleys, where temperatures may fall to -2 degrees Celsius.
Further heavy showers of sleet and snow are likely through the day on Monday, with further falls of snow likely on Monday night into Tuesday.
