WEATHER: Yellow warning for Lightning issued by Met Office across parts of Ayrshire

Across the east of Northern Ireland and probably parts of southwest Scotland, frequent lightning could pose a hazard during the coming hours. Although heavy rain is possible, lightning strikes seem the more likely hazard.

What to expect?

- Some short term loss of power or other utility services could occur.

- Possible damage to some buildings/structures.
