A cloudy damp start then brightening up with some sunny spells. Becoming warm. Perhaps the odd thundery shower developing over Lanarkshire. Mist returning to west Argyll later. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Still a few heavy showers in Lanarkshire on Friday but most of the west dry. Then a dry bright weekend with some sunny spells, best on Sunday. Warm.
