Pupils at Wellington School have raised an outstanding £21,369.75 for the eating disorder charity Beat after a year of dedicated fundraising efforts.

Each year, the school’s S6 pupils choose a charity to support and take the lead in organising fundraising activities across the school community.
This year’s campaign saw pupils throw themselves into a packed programme of events, helping to generate an impressive total for the charity.

Fundraising activities included the popular Christmas Fayre, the annual Dip Wi’ a Nip challenge, a 24-hour Golf Challenge and a Fashion Show, all of which received strong support from pupils, staff, families and the wider Wellington community.
The final total was announced at the school, with Sandy and Olivia from Beat joining pupils and staff to celebrate the achievement.
The money raised will help support Beat’s work in raising awareness of eating disorders, providing support to those affected and helping families access vital information and guidance.

School representatives praised the commitment, enthusiasm and generosity shown throughout the year, highlighting the collective effort that made the fundraising campaign such a success.

The remarkable total is expected to make a meaningful contribution to the charity’s ongoing work and stands as a testament to the dedication of Wellington School’s S6 pupils and the wider school community.
