Young Ayrshire Showjumper Fergal Holohan Selected for Team GB Nations Cup

A talented young showjumper has been chosen to represent Team GB at the Nations Cup in Compiègne next week.

Nineteen-year-old Fergal Holohan has earned his place on the team after a series of outstanding performances, underlining his growing reputation in the sport.

Fergal secured selection with his two horses, Karima and Celtic Son, following an impressive display at the recent viewing trials. Competing across three classes, he delivered remarkable consistency, winning two classes and finishing second in the other.

His selection is a major achievement for the young rider, who has worked hard to produce both horses to this high level of competition.

Alongside his success in the showjumping arena, Fergal is also balancing the demands of student life at Glasgow Caledonian University. His commitment and discipline are evident in the early mornings he dedicates to training each day while continuing his studies.

Now set to compete on the international stage, Fergal will head to France in strong form and with high hopes as he prepares to wear Team GB colours at one of the sport’s prestigious events.
