A network of walk-in GP clinics will open as part of work to improve access to primary care. The clinics, which would be staffed by GPs, nurses and support staff, will be open seven days a week, 12:00-20:00, in addition to existing primary care services. North Ayrshire Council staff are continuing their efforts to get life back to business as usual for residents following Storm Amy. Over the weekend of 4 October, flood warnings were issued by the Met Office for areas including Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Skelmorlie and Largs. High winds brought trees down across roads, including the B706 at Barrmill and a Health and Social Care Partnership worker was left trapped when the vehicle they were in was hit by a tree between Corsehill Mou
