Leading housebuilder Persimmon Homes has submitted its planning application this week to build a range of new homes in the village of West Kilbride, North Ayrshire.
The detailed plans outline a combination of 220 two-bedroomed terrace homes through to five-bedroomed detached homes that cater for a wide range of people from first time buyers and downsizers to growing families. These will be dual branded between Persimmon Homes and Charles Church homes. The 25-acre site on Portencross Road in West Kilbride was allocated for housing by North Ayrshire Council in their Local Development Plan which was adopted in 2019. The planning application marks the latest investment in the area following the ongoing popularity of new home developments in Ayrshire. The success of current developments including Annick Grange and Clyde Shores triggered further investment in new sites Arran View and Mayfields.
