A737 Overnight Resurfacing

Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland will carry out weekday OVERNIGHT resurfacing of the A737 between Howwood and Kilbarchan.

In order to complete the programme of works as quickly and safely as possible it will be necessary to implement overnight closures on five consecutive evenings.

Brendan O’Sullivan, Scotland TranServ’s Area Network Manager said:

“In order to keep disruption to an absolute minimum while this programme of work is being carried out, we have restricted works to weekday overnights only.

Our programme has been planned in consultation with local authorities, emergency services and key stakeholders. Local diversion routes will be implemented on each night of the works.”

The scheme will take place each overnight from Sunday 26th to Friday 31st August, with the road closure implemented from 8pm each evening and lifted at 6am the following morning. Closures will be in place from the Roadhead Roundabout to Kilbarchan.

Drivers are asked to allow extra time for their journey and to check trafficscotland.org or follow @trafficscotland before they set off.
